Marche ADEPS

“Marche ADEPS” are walks organised by ADEPS, which stands for “Administration générale du Sport” or “General Administration of Sport”. This is the Walloon counterpart to the Flemish “Sport Vlaanderen” the former “BLOSO”. It was created to promote sporting and physical activities in the regions of Wallonia and Brussels-Capital.

One of these is to organise walks every Sunday and public holiday. It also combines the “Points Verts” (Green Points) with these walks. This creates beautiful, signposted routes in and along nature. Especially in the Ardennes, this is the ideal way to explore the region and discover little gems. Another advantage is that you get to visit villages you otherwise might not visit.

So these hikes have a natural character and are also very doable in terms of distance. Depending on where the walk is located, there are routes of 5-10-15 and 20 kilometres. So for everyone there is a walk they can handle. In the agenda, you can also specify whether the walk can be done with a pram (poussettes), wheelchair (PMR) or bicycle (VTT). It is usually possible to bring the dog along, however, it must be kept on a leash at all times.

At Brandsport, we think this is a fantastic initiative and we include these walks in our weekly activity blog. If you can’t wait for the blog to come out, you can already find the calendar of all walks organised by the ADEPS below.
