Easter weekend in the Ardennes.
Holidaymakers are quietly pouring into the Ardennes. The Flemish people kick off the season next week with 2 weeks of vacation! And the Brandsporters are ready to give you an adventurous experience during the Easter weekend.
Great, you are coming to the Ardennes! But what can you experience during such an Easter weekend? A question we at Brandsport know the answer to! You are undoubtedly familiar with our sports activities, mountain biking and kayaking. How about rock climbing? Or the climbing forest? These adventurous activities are also on offer with us and our instructors are eager to welcome you!
Activities in the region
Let’s highlight some other activities in the region. We start with the Easter egg hunt in the La Roche-en-Ardenne wildlife park. From Saturday 8 April to Monday 10 April, you can go there for a delicious Easter treat!
Saturday 8 April
On Saturday, you are welcome at Riveo in Hotton at 1 p.m. for a walk “on the trail of the beaver”. The beaver is an animal that enjoys spending time in the Ardennes. The many tributaries winding between the hills are the ideal place for beavers to build their cottages. Join a guide in search of these animals and their impressive structures. Hotton is 25 minutes away by car from our hostel “La Laiterie”.
From 5.30pm you can visit Freux, Libramont for a “Marche Houblonneuse”. Huh, c’est quoi ça (Hey, what’s that?) Let me explain, this is a walk where you have several stops along the way where you can enjoy regional beers, so the ideal way to relax! Freux is a 25-minute drive from our hostel.
Sunday 9 April
On Sunday 9 April, Easter, there will again be the usual “Marche ADEPS”. These are walks of varying lengths from 5-10-15 or 20 kilometres, depending on the locality. You can visit the municipalities of Marche-en-Famenne, Libramont and Erezée this weekend. These communes are within a 20-40-minute drive from our hostel.
Monday 10 April
For those, like our Flemish friends, who do not have a holiday but can enjoy a long weekend, there is also something to do on Monday 10 April. Indeed, in Amberloup they are organising a bike ride and there is also the possibility of walking part of the route. There is a choice between six distances: 5, 15, 20, 25, 35 and 50 kilometres. By car, you’ll be there in a good 15 minutes.
